On Sunday September 7th we will be welcoming the return of the choir of All Saints, West Dulwich to participate in Choral Evensong. This is their third visit to us and both choirs are becoming firm friends - St. Thomas' choir visited them last year.

The All Saint's Choir is conducted by their director of music Timothy Penrose, brother of Martin.

Music will be announce nearer the time - so watch this space or keep an eye out for information on the weekly news sheet.

On the hottest day of the year the choir met to celebrate another successful year of singing. The well manicured lawns and bushes of All Saints was the location for the fun.

As the older members of the choir sat and enjoyed good conversation, food and the cooler sun, the juniors (with a couple of oldies) had a very competitive game of football.
Captain of the organist's pipers was Martin while captain of the treble terrors was Maureen. Teams were chosen and the game - referee Roger - started. By half time the score was 4-3 to the treble terrors, but after a much needed drink the second half led to the final score of 6-6. questions over the referees dubious decisions and vision were hotly denied by Roger!

The choir have deserved not only this party but also the next 4 weeks break from practices - although you will still find many of them in the choirstalls on Sunday.

The choir has been very lucky in recruitment this year but would always welcome more members - especially sopranos and juniors (6-7 years upwards).
